Um, well... I'm supposed to go on a pilgrimage. I pray at every temple in Spira and then travel to Zanarkand. There, I will get the Final Aeon. Well... The pilgrimage should make me powerful enough to achieve that, at least...

How many temples are there in Spira?

[enigmaster]

There's some that have been abandoned... they're... mostly inaccessible, now. But the ones that are still active... There's five of those.

[agoodname]

That's not so many... [he considers that] And how long does it take to get to them, normally?

[enigmaster]

A... few months, usually. It depends where one starts. We won't need to backtrack, so... Six months, if taken slowly. Quicker if we rush.

That's quite an amount of time.

[He nods.] The journey does take summoners all over Spira. And it's mostly a lot of walking, so...

It's...mostly walking, is it? [ew]

...The journey to Kilika and Luca is by boat, if that makes you feel better. [Smirking slightly, a little amused.]

Well. Small favors. [he wrinkles his nose] So people simply....walk everywhere? [double ew]

Not everywhere. There's boats and some other means of travel. But. Mostly, yes.

...Most people don't do a lot of traveling, though.

No? [he tilts his head a bit] Because of Sin?

[enigmaster]

Yeah. It's just... too dangerous.

Does Sin target people that are traveling?

[enigmaster]

Sin... targets gatherings of people. And machina. But, well, sometimes it just shows up out of nowhere. Especially out at sea.

[agoodname]

....that would explain it, yes. [he huffs] Sin has an affinity for machina as well?

[enigmaster]

Or some sort of hatred for it... I don't know what it's thinking. That's why machina is forbidden.

...I'm sorry, did you say machina is forbidden?

[enigmaster]

Yes. Yevon forbids the use of it.

[agoodname]

And who is Yevon, exactly? I've heard the name once or twice.

[enigmaster]

Ah... Sorry. Um. Yevon is... the primary faith in Spira. Almost everyone follows the teachings of Yevon. The temples I have to visit on the pilgrimage are all of Yevon, as well. My faith is part of what lets me be a summoner in the first place.
