Well, there's me, and there's Ivi, and Buceus, and Victor and his girls, and occasionally Barbara comes around so there's a room for her. And then about a third of the servants live here and the other two-thirds have their own place. So including myself, around 15 or 16, if Barbara is over.
Ivi is probably out in her garden. I sent Victor and the girls out on an errand a few days ago and as far as I'm aware, they haven't returned. Buceus is likely around somewhere checking security.
[Right, the touching. Still new. But not unwelcome. There's a tension that stays with him, but some of it leaves, and more importantly Enygma seems to visibly brighten.]
Well, in that case--[and he'll be happy to give Edward a tour from there. It's a bit slow going on account of his leg, but it does give him an excuse to lean on Edward almost the whole way, showing him the different rooms and the architecture, the meeting hall and the dining hall, and finally the gardens and the solar where there's a veritable smorgasbord waiting for them. All sorts of meats and cheeses, fruits and desserts, bread and rice and all sorts of things. And pitcher of wine to drink, of course.
Once they reach the solar--a more secluded room but with several open windows--Oswald will ease himself onto the floor (covered with soft plush rugs and pillows) carefully, stretching out his leg with a bit of a wince]
[Enygma will follow, of course, taking it all in. It's quite the place. It's a little hard for him to really Get It, but he knows these things are more important to mortals. It is beautiful, in its own way.
The food catches his attention, when they arrive... though he'll pause first.]
...
[And he'll lean in close, actually, rather than sit immediately.]
Never the less, I do appreciate it. I'm afraid it's been getting worse. [he huffs a little, but reaches out to nudge one of the plates closer to him] Here--There's some fried pork and cheese that you might like. Oh and figs and honey, I recall you enjoyed the honey last time.
[He sounds... well, level and even, but there's a pleased note in there. Mortality is so ephemeral-- he hadn't expected that to be remembered, given how it has been some time.]
It smells... nice.
[...and he'll. take a bite of some of that fried pork. eyes immediately lighting up a bit.]
Well. Opinions differ, of course... Some think mortals resemble the gods, but... personally, I believe we changed to more resemble you, rather than the other way around.

[He blinks a little bit.]

Why do you ask?
no subject
...I usually don't interact with the living.
[...does he seem oddly
nervous?]

his expression softens a bit at that and he steps closer, tucking his hand into Edward's elbow]
You'll be fine. You're with me, after all. [:>]

Yes, of course.

he's so cute help]
How much time do you have? We could take a stroll around the place and then have lunch in the Solar?
no subject
[Does he have the time? It's... fine.]
I'm... I can make time for it.

In fact, that chill is going to his... leg? And after a moment, he'll find that the pain there is starting to
numb.
Huh.]

I always admired it... finding a use for the remains of animals like this. Such is nature, of course, but only humans prepare their meals like this.
I suppose that must be why we take after you.
no subject
You take after us? How's that?
no subject
Though it's hard to say for certain.
