[Before he knows it, he finds himself leaning against the wall of the elevator. Good thing, too, because he's starting to feel a bit shaky.] Y-You're kidding... right? You're not... not actually going to...

You would rather I let him kill us? [arching an eyebrow]

[enigmaster]

No! Of course not, but... but why are those the options?

[agoodname]

Because sometimes those are the only options, unfortunately. Which is why I'm doing it and not you.

[enigmaster]

But-- [He doesn't really have a chance to object much more. Just like that, the elevator dings, and they're there. Edward starts as the doors open.] Ah...

Come on. [and he's stepping out of the elevator]

[enigmaster]

[It almost feels like it's a mistake. Like stepping out of the elevator is the worst possible thing he could do. He steps out, anyway. Trailing after Oswald.] ...Maybe he lost us.

[agoodname]

He didn't. I'm fairly certain his diary wouldn't let him lose us.

[enigmaster]

[There Oswald goes talking about a diary again... ...Huh?] Do you mean... like this thing? [He holds up his own phone, open on one of those riddles.]

[Oswald pauses to glance at it, before he nods] Yes, that's it exactly.

[enigmaster]

And... you have one too? Is that how you knew where I was?

[agoodname]

I do. Though mine isn't in riddles. [and he opens his up to show a log of...Edward. Just. Everything he's doing, from Oswald's perspective]

[enigmaster]

Oh, so... Wait. [He moves closer, really taking a look.] Is that all about me...?

[agoodname]

Of course it is. [he'll let him look] How else would I have known how to find you?

[enigmaster]

S-Sure, but... why is it just me...?

[agoodname]

[he tilts his head at that] Why would it be anyone else?

[enigmaster]

[...what sort of question is THAT--] I-I don't know? About... yourself, maybe? Someone important to you?

[agoodname]

It is about someone important to me. [he snaps it shut a moment later] But we can discuss this in more detail later--for now, we need to take care of him.

[enigmaster]

Ah... right. Though... If we're planning something, won't his diary say so?

[agoodname]

Not necessarily. [he hums a bit] It's a possibility. But it might also just tell him where we'll be. Or maybe how we're going to be murdered. We won't know without seeing it.

[enigmaster]

...Sounds like a fun read.

[agoodname]

It sounds like a useful read to me~ But that's neither here nor there. [he leans on his umbrella] What's important now is surviving. So! I'm going to need you to keep me updated on what's in your diary. [he straightens, flipping the umbrella up and holding the end like the handle of a fencing foil]

[enigmaster]

I... Okay. Um... [He looks at his phone. Quickly trying to decipher the riddle.] It looks like... he'll be here in-- in three minutes.

Three minutes. Got it~ [he hums, glancing around the roof] Do me a favor, and step back behind me--just barely behind that pile of two by fours, hm?

[enigmaster]

I... Okay. [He steps where Oswald tells him, still looking at his phone.] A-Anything else?
