[It's January. It's been a couple weeks now since Oswald has seen Edward, but honestly he's just happy to be back at Hogwarts. Home was...well. It sure was.

Oswald's found himself back inside a familiar classroom on a Wednesday night. He's settled in one of the chairs, one leg crossed over the other, idly thumbing through a book on magical history.]

[enigmaster]

[Edward enters. He looks better than the last time Oswald saw him, but that much is obvious. And really that's setting the bar awfully low, but he does look as if he's recovered from all of... that. Though he lingers for a second or two by the door before he actually approaches.] Uh... Hey.

[agoodname]

[Oswald glances up then, when he speaks. And the corner of his mouth quirks upwards a little, a slight smirk, seeming like...normal. Everything's normal. And he closes his book]

Evening.

[enigmaster]

[Edward... exhales a little at that, relieved. And he takes a seat as well, with a nod.] ...So, um. Glad to be back at school?

[agoodname]

Absolutely. [dry as dirt, swiveling in his chair to prop his elbow on the desk] You?

[enigmaster]

Mhm-hm, yeah. It was... weird, not being in the castle. I mean, it was nice, too, but...

[He shrugs, a little.]

Well. The circumstances and all of that...

[agoodname]

Right. You call kind of...left early. [he arches an eyebrow at Edward in question]

[enigmaster]

...Yeah. [And Edward looks down a little, at that. Kind of embarrassed.] Sorry about, um... all of that.

[agoodname]

[Oswald just...shrugs a shoulder. Seemingly not off-put in the least] You didn't exactly ask for that to happen.

[enigmaster]

Well, neither did you.

[He bites his lip, a little, not really feeling any better about the whole thing.]

...Guess it's a good thing I saw what I did, at least, or Ivy's dad would be... [...] Still, um. I didn't mean to get you involved in all of that, so...

[agoodname]

Better that you weren't alone when it happened, at least. [he pauses for a moment] ...and what did your friends think, exactly? Of my being there?

[enigmaster]

Oh. Right. They were pretty confused about the whole thing, which... I mean, I can't exactly blame them, I guess. ...I kind of... ended up, um... telling them why we were actually there.

[agoodname]

[there's a pause...and then Oswald just huffs out a smalls a sigh]

Of course you did.

[enigmaster]

Sorry.

[He looks a little guilty.]

I tried coming up with some other reason, but Ivy didn't really believe me.

[agoodname]

[and his expression morphs into amusement] That doesn't shock me terribly.

[enigmaster]

Wow, okay.

Listen, she's... persistent.

[agoodname]

And you are a terrible liar. [d r y l y] Honestly, I'm surprised the secrecy lasted as long as it did.

[enigmaster]

I am not. Just because I don't lie constantly like a Slytherin, honestly...

Well, that therein is your problem, isn't it~ [he smirks] You're simply unpracticed. [he waves a hand] Don't take it so hard, Nygma. I'm sure you tried your best.

[enigmaster]

Well, gosh, thank you. That makes me feel so much better. [And he just rolls his eyes.] Maybe I shouldn't have told Ivy not to hex you again.

[agoodname]

You told her no? [his smirk widens] Pity. I would've loved to actually give her a shot when I could actually defend myself.

[enigmaster]

That's a very fun thing to joke about, but I'm pretty sure if you really made an enemy out of Ivy, she would destroy you.

[agoodname]

In a duel? [Oswald arches an eyebrow because....srsly. Dueling is his thing, other than potions.]

[enigmaster]

Oh, no.

No, you would never even see her coming, there wouldn't even be a duel.

She does have a violent streak. [dryly]
