[Edward pauses typing on his phone, finally, and... his shoulders slump a little.] ...I guess. [Yeah, okay...] Sure.

I don't doubt for a moment that he deserves all of your ire. But unfortunately, this despicable leopard is hardly likely to change its spots. Your time is better spent on other ventures. [he squeezes his knee] Like dinner. Shall we do some cooking?

[enigmaster]

...Yeah, alright. That is a lot better. [And he reaches for the remote, turning the TV off.]

I certainly thought so. [Oswald just chuckles a bit, pushing to his feet and starting to make his way towards the kitchen--he's certainly got enough groceries that they can throw something together. ]

[enigmaster]

[And Edward is trailing behind of course. Yep, yep, time to look through groceries...]

Any ideas?

Well, we had pasta last night...so perhaps a salad and steak?

[enigmaster]

That works... [And... Edward is quickly looking some things up on his phone.]

Excellent--I think we have everything we need...[and he'll start pulling things out of the fridge, after hooking his cane on one of the back of the island chairs]

Have you made this before?

[agoodname]

Once or twice....I mostly just helped my mother in the kitchen when she wanted it.

[enigmaster]

Oh, yeah? I never have, really. Ah, I didn't really start cooking anything until I turned eighteen and stopped staying in foster homes...

[agoodname]

Then we're probably about at the same level, I would imagine.

[enigmaster]

I guess so. Well. We're learning together, then.

[agoodname]

Here's hoping that makes the learning easier. Otherwise we might both be eating burnt food on occasion.

I'm sure it'll go alright, between the two of us... I'm... alright with a recipe, anyway. If the instructions are clear enough.

Then dinner should at least be edible. That's a positive, at least. [a bit dryly]

I'd say so. I did tell you before, my standards are low.

Some day soon, we're going to go to a very nice restaurant, and you're going to realize the perils of mediocre frood.

I kind of doubt that... Mediocre isn't so bad.

It may not be so bad, but that doesn't mean it's good.

[enigmaster]

It's a whole lot better than nothing.

[....yeah Oswald is going to just take in the implications of that for a hot second, before continuing] Well, considering that nothing won't ever be an issue from here on out...you're welcome to up your standards.

Well. We'll see about that. [Oswald sniffs a bit, even as he reaches for the lettuce to start making the salad] I'll bring home dinner tomorrow night.
