[that's....a relief. It's not perfect, not everything is better, but it's something. At least he'll know if something happens, now. But he does finally release Edward when he says breakfast is ready]
[breakfast is relatively uneventful. Oswald doesn't feel particularly hungry for obvious reasons but Edward put in all that effort, so it'd be rude not to finish it. So he finishes it]
