[Trying to find a therapist is... hard. Not just because trying to find a therapist where Edward can actually talk about his problems without being thought of as either delusional or a liar is a struggle, but also just because he's still resistant to the idea. He's been through this before. A lot of times. And he didn't much care for it.
Honestly, after the last time he swore he'd never get near a therapist again, but...
This isn't really... for his own sake. As terrifying as losing control of himself is, he considers it preferable to the alternatives. But it's not about just him. It's about Oswald, too.
And... he can try. For Oswald.
That doesn't mean it's easy. It's the day of and he feels like a mess. Anxious doesn't begin to describe it. But he's keeping that bottled up inside, as usual. It mostly results in him just being quiet and distracted.
[Oswald is...well, relieved isn't quite the right word. But a bit hopeful, at least. He's taken the day off work so that he can accompany Edward to at least this first meeting. Edward seems to be doing alright this morning, but then again, Oswald doesn't quite know how much to trust that. Sometime after breakfast, he'll reach out a hand and gently touch Edward's shoulder]

Which isn't exactly out of the ordinary, really.]

How are you holding up?

He blinks a little, sheepishly glancing away.]

It's just one appointment. I've done this plenty of times.

Nothing to worry about.
no subject
...of course. [...and yet, after a moment, he hesitantly reaches out to take Edward's hand, gently]

Oswald might notice a slight tremble, at first, before he gets that under control.]
...And anyway, it's not like I'm a minor anymore, so it's not like anyone can force me into stuff anymore.
[Ha ha...
Yeah.]
no subject
No, of course not. No one can force you into anything.

[So there's nothing to worry about.
...He's worrying all the same.]

[Just an hour. He can do that. It's not impossible.]
