Up and at 'em, sleepyhead.

[That gets his attention. Edward whines a little and looks up, eyes still very sleepy as he blinks.] Wha...?

[lksdhfs Oswald can't quite help the way his expression softens] It's sundown, Edward. You asked me to wake you.

[enigmaster]

Oh... Mm, right... [He sits up a little and yawns, which... will also give Oswald a good look at all those fangs yikes.] Right, right.

[MMMMMBOY THOSE ARE SOME SHARP TEETH. It takes a lot not to take a step back]

Also, dinner's ready. So come in the kitchen--I've ladled out a bowl for you. [there is, also, the strong smell of rabbit soup in the air]

[Edward sniffs, then, because yeah there is that. Ah... He blinks a bit.] Oh... Okay, sure. [It's a little reluctant, but he'll get up, yawning briefly again. But he nods. Yeah, let's go.]

[right. There are two bowls in the kitchen, and the rest of the soup is pulled off the burner. He'll also see several jars with their lids off, filled with cooling, deboned meat.

Oswald will grab his bowl in one hand and slowly makes his way to the dining room on his crutch, careful not to spill any soup]

[enigmaster]

[Edward stares at his own bowl a second, before also taking it. He does glance at Oswald a moment.] ... [Yeah, alright, to the dining room.]

[Oswald will plop down in one of those chairs with a small, relieved sigh. Edward might notice that part of the room has been...dusted. At least the table and chairs. There's not much he can do for the carpet, but it's a start.

He's also managed to locate spoons for the soup, so that's there also, as well as some linen napkins.]

[enigmaster]

[Edward stands by the table and... lingers a little. He looks uncertain. He doesn't know if he should take a seat or not.]

[He's going to arch an eyebrow at that hesitation] What's wrong?

[enigmaster]

Ah-- N-Nothing. I, uh... [He's still. Not taking a seat.]

[agoodname]

[Oswald sits up a bit]

....are you going to sit?

[enigmaster]

Is that ok-- [He starts to ask and then feels incredibly embarrassed for letting the question begin to slip out. This is his castle, what does Oswald care? There's just that lingering feeling from many years ago that says no, it's not okay. He quickly and wordlessly takes a seat. Awkward as it is.]

[Oswald looks mildly amused but mostly confused] Why wouldn't that be ok?

[enigmaster]

No reason. Never mind.

[. . . .] Okay. [SQUID???? Oswald will remember that]

Bon appetite.

[enigmaster]

Ah... sure... [He... glances at the spoon, but. He might just sip right from the bowl, honestly. Now here's the question. Is it good?]

[agoodname]

[it is quite good, actually. Considering how it was thrown together with minimal ingredients, the combination of the root vegetables and rabbit stock turned out quite well and, to be frank, Oswald is rather proud of it, considering what he had to work with.]

[enigmaster]

[...Yeah, Edward's gonna finish that real quick, then. That's... very good. He kind of forgot food could actually? taste this good? He's enjoying it... a lot.]

[Oswald looks amused at that, but he's really mostly pleased] Good?

[enigmaster]

[Edward looks up. Snout... definitely a little dirty. But he nods.]

I'm glad. [there is definitely an urge to reach out and wipe his snout but he won't do that c'mon Oswald focus on your soup]
