[SQUEAK AGAIN before yep those shadows are going to coalesce around that little bat form, bfore they stretch and elongate, before disappearing, leaving Oswald sitting again in the chair] I wish I could tell you that was the case.

[he swallows, moving to sit on the bed next to Edward's hip]

[he doesn't need to but...that's hardly the point]

[He feels the shifting on the bed, as Oswald sits on it, and his eyes fly open.] Don't-- [He tries to move away, but. Well. He can't, can he?] Don't come near me! [He feels like he's losing it, but regardless of what's happening to him, he knows that, right now, Oswald is definitely not safe to be around.]

[Oswald's eyes widen at that--and he's immediately off the bed, backing away, taking a good five steps back]

[Edward's breathing heavily. It feels wrong, like... like it's not doing anything. What the fuck is happening to him?] Just don't-- don't come anywhere near me unless you're going to unlock these restraints... [Because that's... that's all he can focus on right now. It's the one thing about this that he can see that's solvable, Oswald is just refusing to work with him on this.]

...okay. [well he's completely lost for what to do. And, quite frankly, he's not doing so hot mentally himself because with Edward being lucid, it means he's probably survived the worst of the Embrace, right?? which is good but also the consequences of which are starting to all come to him now, and the fact that if they both make it out of this alive, it'll be a miracle and then some. He's just going to lean back against the wall farthest from Edward and just sink to the floor. And maybe try not to do some freaking out of his own.]

[Like this, it's... hard to even see Oswald anymore. He can see him when he's leaning against the wall, but when he slides down, he's pretty much out of Edward's view. This isn't making him feel any better.] Y-You can't just... keep me tied to this bed forever, you know.

Not forever, no. [it's only a matter of time until someone comes looking after all. And Oswald presses the heels of his hands into his eyes]

A couple reasons. First of all, I don't know if you've completed turning yet, so I don't know if you'll go, well...feral again. Second, you're clearly very scared, and if I release you now, you'd do something like walk out into sunlight and then you'd die.
