[he'll just...keep sleeping until his alarm goes off. In the other room. Oops he definitely was expecting to go back to the study to sleep, so the sound of the alarm on his phone is incredibly faint this morning; certainly not enough to wake him]
[OH. Well, that. Is an issue, yes, oops. Edward looks up idly, taking a moment to realize what he's hearing. He hasn't... really slept, but he'd zoned out and that's close enough, really...
[he just makes a kind of disgruntled, mildly upset sound and curls closer, burying his face in Edward's shoulder. Clearly not awake enough to realize where he is yet lol]
[he sure does, and he sure doesn't want to get up for it--and he's making an upset sound, before one of his eyes squints open. There's a moment, two, before he suddenly realizes where he is, curled up against Edward's side and tucked against him and kind of sleeping on top of him a little bit. And wow he sure is awake now. Oswald flushes, immediately, moving to sit up]
If you're sure...[his head turns a bit towards the door, though, now recognizing the sound of his alarm] An, no, I didn't hear it at all. Thank you for waking me.
[....there is something off about that reply, and there's a furrow that appears between Oswald's brows for a moment--but he can't quite put his finger on it, really, so he's filing that away for later] Alright, well, feel free to go back to sleep. I'll try not to wake you. [and getting up now yep]
That's good. [why does htis all feel like it doesn't quite add up???? But he can hear the sound of his alarm in the next room which means he really does need to get going--and he's pushing to his feet, not really able to entirely hide the wince as his hip-knee-ankle all protest loudly]
