...Mhm... [...he doesn't have the energy to give it more thought or say anything. He just... lets himself do as she asks, and rests. He gets some more sleep.]

[when he wakes again, Oswald is actually awake this time, still going through case files. He looks...exhausted, in a word. He's tired. He's worried. He's stressed. and he still has not left the hospital]

[Edward raises his head a little, looking over. Ah... there's Oswald. Still here...?] ...You don't look so good, you know that?

[Oswald starts at that, blinking--before he's immediately levering himself up out of the chair, case file set aside, and moving over to sit at Edward's bedside] Ah, you're up. How do you feel?

Mm'alright. [...Relatively speaking.] You look like you've had better days.

[agoodname]

[Oswald blows out a huff at that, and runs a hand through his hair] I'm fine. I've had worse; I went to law school.

[enigmaster]

Well, don't fall back into old habits. [...] ...Have you been here the whole time...?

[agoodname]

[Oswald blinks at that] Of course I have.

[enigmaster]

[Edward stares a little, confused. "Of course"...?] You didn't have to-- I mean, that's-- I'm sure it must've been boring...

And what? Sit around my apartment by myself, worrying about you? [he huffs a bit, shaking his head] That would've been even worse.

...I'm okay, really...

[Oswald just...stares at him. Incredulously]

Edward...you had a stroke.

[enigmaster]

... Mhm. [he looks away, at that. Not sure what to even say. Because yeah that... sure is a thing that happened. It's... kind of scary.]

[Oswald goes quiet, looking down then at his hands]

...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to...

He's honestly not entirely sure what he should do anymore.

But this is hardly the time for that conversation.]

....anyway, the doctor says you're healing well, but they want to run a couple more tests before they release you.

...I wish I knew what happened. I felt fine in the morning.

[there's a frown between Oswald's eyebrows at that, concern]

They...are having trouble finding the cause.

...It's probably not a normal health issue, then. [This is probably a... him thing.] Lucky me.
