right, now that there's nothing but for to let it stew a bit longer, he's going to just...go sit for a moment.

And then, a moment later, he's going to give into the curiosity of vague memories and seat himself on the floor, tentatively reaching out to brush his fingers across Edward's ears]

[Those are some soft and fluffy ears. They twitch a little, but... otherwise, Edward doesn't move.]

Right, well, it doesn't seem to wake him, so he's going to pet them again. Still just very gently but....boy those ears are soft]

Mrrm... [Yeah, he makes a noise at that. But... still asleep?]

[. . . . . . . . .hnnnngh want to rub his ears. But probably shouldn't.

Oswald huffs, and retracts his hand, moving to push to his feet. Maybe he can get started on that apron]

[Well, there's plenty of cloth around the castle, Oswald. Take your pick. Old clothes, curtains, what have you. Any room has plenty of materials to use.]

[he selects some curtains, easily pulling apart some of the material and locating a needle and old thread in a drawer. Then he's going to get started on that apron, sitting on the couch, occasionally getting up to check on the pots]

[The first few times, Edward's still asleep. But the time after, Edward's... sitting up on the floor, rubbing at his eyes. Looks like someone's done with his nap... just about. He still looks sleepy.]

[Oswald comes in, then, the finished cloth slung over his arm--and he blinks, before the corner of his mouth quirks in amusement] Good morning, sleepyhead.

Mhm...? [He looks a little sleepy as he looks Oswald's way, blinking a few times. Oh.] ...Uh. ...Morning?

Mn. I hope you found the floor comfortable? [YEP DEFO VERY AMUSED and he's coming over closer, so he can drop that apron over the top of his head]

There--I think this will do nicely.

I don't mind it-- [And then he's interrupted by that apron. He jumps a little, ears folding back. What.] ...could've just handed it over...

[He grumbles a little, but. Fine. He'll let it go, he's too tired.] ...Did you sleep okay?

I did, thank you. And you?

[enigmaster]

Fine... Don't really remember lying down.

[agoodname]

[.....arching an eyebrow] Do you need to sleep some more?

[enigmaster]

M'fine... Just... get sleepy in the winter.

[agoodname]

[........just....stares at him for a moment] Perhaps you should go get some more sleep.

If I sleep again, I might be out for days...

[eyebrow arch] Days? Is that common?

In the winter, yeah. ...I think maybe I'm supposed to hibernate? [Does he not... know?]

...that is a very good question, I suppose. [kinda??? but it seems rude to just come out and ask what happened to his family]
