Mostly I remember... being stuck under a bunch of debris, after part of the Citadel collapsed... [He remembers that pretty clearly, in fact. It felt like it was forever.]

"Yes, that certainly happened. You were dug out and then transferred to my hospital."

[enigmaster]

Mhm, I think I... I kind of figured out that part...

Got that far...

[But that's... good. Not dead. He's not stuck anymore, he can breathe again, all good things.]

"That's good. Your cognitive abilities seem intact so far, so that's a good sign. You need to heal a bit longer before we talk about other issues, so for now I'm going to put you back under so you can sleep a bit longer, alright?"

[enigmaster]

[Honestly... he can feel himself almost starting to zone out again anyway, so he can't exactly argue with that. More sleep... doesn't sound so bad. He just exhales.] Oh, um... O-Okay... sure...

"Okay. Just rest, Edward. That's the best thing you can do for yourself, now."

[enigmaster]

Alright...

[He'll... do his best, sure. Who's he to argue, right now?]

[when Edward wakes up again, he'll find himself marginally more lucid. Marginally being the key word--there's still painkillers in his system, though they've started weaning him off them a bit.

Dr. Thompkins is currently taking his blood pressure. Selena is fiddling with an ECHO device, propped up with her legs on the bed]

[Edward blinks, as he wakes up again. Shifting slightly, without really thinking about it. His head still feels... kind of fuzzy, so it takes him a few moments to realize what Dr. Thompkins is doing. Waking up is kind of a slow process, so for the moment he finds himself just sort of watching, as his mind tries to wake up more.]

"You can tell Oswald that his blood pressure is stabilized. However you're doing that, anyway. With that code."

[she glances up and over at Selena, who just gives her a thumbs up without looking up from her ECHO device]

"Got it."

[enigmaster]

That sounds good. [It's a little quiet and he sounds a little out of it, but that's about to be expected.]

[Lee startles a bit at that--but quickly regains herself]

"Hi there, welcome back." [she moves to sit on the edge of the bed so she can talk to him easier] "I'm Dr. Lee Thompkins. Can you tell me your name?"

[enigmaster]

[Edward shifts his head a little to try to look at her better. Something definitely feels off.

He just decides to blame that on not having his glasses and just waking up.]

It's, um... Edward...

"Edward--that's a good start. What about your last name?"

[enigmaster]

Na-- [He stops, frowning a little. No. No, wait, he changed it.] Nygma. [Despite only just waking up and being kind of sluggish, he switches gears... maybe not as quick as he otherwise would, but still pretty fast.]

"...okay good. Your cognitive are still as in-place as the last time. That's comforting. Can you recite the digits of pi for me?"

[enigmaster]

[He blinks a little bit, at that.] How far do you want that? [Think carefully about that answer, Lee.]

[agoodname]

[the corner of her mouth quirks] "Just the first ten decibels is enough."

[enigmaster]

3.1415926535. [That actually comes far easier than even his name. No hesitation, no stumbling, or anything like that. He's still out of it, but this just comes naturally to him.] ...I could keep going, if you want...

[agoodname]

[her smile widens a bit at that] "I don't doubt that for a second, considering what I've heard of you."

[enigmaster]

Numbers're just easy, you know... [He lets out a breath for a moment, trying to force off the haze over him, but. Well, there's still painkillers in his system, that's not gonna happen.]

[agoodname]

"They are predictable, that's true. Which is helpful."[Lee pauses to adjust]

"You still have some painkillers in your system--the heavy ones. We're starting to take you off of them, though, and move you to the ones that won't make you groggy."

[enigmaster]

Oh... That makes sense. [It does, kind of. Sort of feels like the sort of dots he would've connected himself, but. You know. Drugs.] 'xplains a few things, I guess...

[agoodname]

"If you're thinking it is why your thought processes are slower than normal and everything feels fuzzy around the edges, then you'd be correct."

[enigmaster]

Yeah... That stuff.

[That. Yep. Pretty much that.]

Makes everything kinda blurry. And not in the, uh... usual way, I guess.

[The lack of glasses, is what he means.]
