[Edward doesn't do anything too out of the ordinary, though. He visits some stores, as he told Oswald he would. A bookstore. And... a cosmetics store? Is that his thing? ...That's about all he really does, though, before he just... sits on a bench in a park for a little while. After which, he's just... going to head home again. ...Uneventful.]

[well that's...good, right? Huh. He'll just follow and make sure he's okay, and let Oswald know when he heads home. And then he'll just...chill. For a bit.

[...That's fine. Edward's just going to put his things away and then... idly spend some time reading until Oswald gets home.

[that's fine. Elijah will sit calmly while Gertrude is just going to...hover. Worriedly. She fades in and out, returning every half hour, until finally--]

"Oswald's on his way home--he should be here in about fifteen minutes."

[Edward... barely so much as looks up.] Uh huh... [... That's... ...uncharacteristic. Very uncharacteristic.]

Yeah. Why would anything be wrong?

[Oswald will be here soon. He heard it. That's fine.]

"You're acting strangely." [yeah nope not gonna sugar-coat it, boyo]

Oh. I hadn't noticed.

[....Just a few more minutes until Oswald gets home.]

[Gertrude's eyes narrow at that, her hands going to her hips] "That I am not sure I believe."

Thank you. [he closes the door behind him--just as ghost parents are like...outta here.]

Fine. And yours? [he's...rounding the corner, staring for a brief second at that scarf, before turning to go into the kitchen.]

It was fine.

[Edward's also heading into the kitchen. You know, to help out or whatever he can do.]

I'm glad to hear that. [just....starts getting ingredients out] Is goulash alright?

[enigmaster]

Sure.

I can get the plates and glasses.

[agoodname]

Thank you. [goulash, fortunately, is rather straightforward. basically throw everything in a pot and let it cook]

[There's a shattering sound, then, as a plate slips out of his hand and hits the floor.]

--Edward? [That gets Oswald's attention--and he's leaving the goulash to move to the dining room] Edward, are you alright?

[enigmaster]

I... I don't, ah... [And Edward stares down at the shattered plate, his eyes wide. What just...] When did I...
