[No attorney, the next day, so things are postponed even further. And by the time Oswald gets to the detention center and enters the room to see Edward, he'll notice that he's... already in the room. Specifically, he's leaning over the table, arms crossed over it, his face hidden, completely buried in his arms. He's... ...asleep.]

[Oswald blinks at that, before crossing the room and moving to sit at the table]

Edward. [yeah he'll just....reach out to rest a hand on his shoulder?]

[The physical contact does it and Edward immediately bolts upright, eyes a little wide... and then he blinks a few times.] ...Um. Oh. [Oh. This is awkward.] Ah, h-hello.

[yeah he automatically jerked his hand back when he sat upright so....blinking now]

Hm. [Edward straightens, a little and... quickly just adjusts himself a bit, too. And... well. Honestly, Edward's been gradually looking more tired the more time has passed. But right now it's especially obvious. The dark circles under his eyes more pronounced than ever.] ...Sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep like that.

Yes. Perfectly fine. [He doesn't even think about the answer. It's clearly a lie.]

I don't really sleep most nights in here, that's all.

[.....squid???? SQUID. Oswald's eyes narrow a bit...but he does drop it.]

I'm not entirely certain. He mentioned something about my reputation. People trying to figure out who they'll assign to me next. [...] I don't like him much.

[Oswald kinda...snorts at that] You're one of the few. [his mouth twists into a scowl] He was very popular at our school. Everyone loved him. [yeah it's pretty clear what HE thinks of Theo as well]
