[Harvey shakes his hand, of course, because they are Polite Lawyers. Edward skips it, because. It's Edward.] Mhm... "Glad to be here, too. And with such a nice spot, too." [Harvey will go sit down and join them properly. Third wheel, officially here.]

Edward picked it out. He put up with my fussing quite patiently. [he turns his head to quirk a smile in Edward's direction]

"Well, good eye then, Edward." Ah... Yeah. Thanks. [...The difference is a little startling. How much quieter Edward is with Harvey compared to how he is with Oswald. Not that he's not still on the quiet side with Oswald, but it's still a big difference.]

[it...honestly is a little startling? Oswald blinks a bit....and finally maybe starts to wonder if inviting Harvey may have been a mistake. --which is about the time the band starts up] Shall we start on lunch, then? [and yep he's going to start opening up containers and passing out plates and such]

[Edward is a little grateful for that. More things to focus on than talking. The music and the food both make for great distractions. He can just... let Harvey and Oswald talk for a bit. That's fine.]

[Edward feels... out of place. It's just a normal social thing. But maybe he just can't... do those? He thought he could, but...

At some point, though, Harvey is distracted by something and... oh. Seems there's someone he knows there.]

"I'll just go over there really quick. Alright?"

[Harvey is glancing down at Edward, trying to be mindful of his comfort, but Edward just. Nods.]

[Harvey leaves (temporarily)...and Oswald's scooting over a bit so he can talk to Edward--and his forehead creases in a frown a bit] Should I...not have invited him?

[Edward looks up, then.] Oh, um. It's fine, really.

[and Oswald just.....arches an eyebrow. Edward. Pls.]

[He ducks his head a little, at that.] ...I'm... just not good around most people. Sorry.

You have nothing to be sorry for. I should have asked first. [he huffs a little bit, but it's at himself] I apologize.

Ah, n-no, you don't have to apologize or anything. It's fine, really...

It's fine... [edward you're being a bit of a broken record] I'm still enjoying it, so...

....if you're sure. [he presses his lips together a bit, though] I'll still ask next time.

[that...was an abrupt topic change with absolutely no segue, so it takes Oswald a solid couple seconds to catch up--but when he does, he blinks, once, a little surprised] ...I don't?

No. You don't. I wasn't sure if you believed me when I said that earlier, but... Um... A-Anyway, just. Don't worry about that...?

...okay. [...] If you won't worry about telling me if something's not fine.

[WELL THAT'S JUST NO FAIR] I'll... try...?

[Well, that's definitely better than a no.] Okay. [:> he is pleased] Thank you.

Sure. [freaking lawyer of course he'd make a deal out of it] I might not be great at that, but... [Well. Like he said, he'll try.] Mm... [He's. Going to focus on his food again for a moment, because he feels very unsure of himself right now whoops.]

[And, of course, Harvey returns shortly. So back to hanging out again, though Edward is... trying to open up.
