[It's a particularly rough week, for Edward. There's long shifts at the GCPD and some people are calling out at the library, so he ends up having to fill in. It's good money, so he does it, and he'd rather not lose this job, but... It doesn't leave him with a lot of energy at the job. He's a bit of a night owl when left to his own devices, usually. ...But tonight, Edward is at the desk. With his head on top of it. Sleeping.]

[Oswald will come in that evening to visit...only to find Edward asleep at the desk. He blinks, starting to come closer.

He's a little surprised, to be honest, but not entirely. Especially since he knows Edward has two jobs.

No one else seems to have noticed yet, so...he'll kind of hop up on the desk, as quietly as possible. Perhaps it's better to let him sleep for a moment. Oswald isn't starving yet. He'll wake him up in a moment]

[Edward just... keeps sleeping. He shifts a little, as Oswald hops on the desk, but he doesn't seem to be waking.]

[Oswald hums a bit at that, leaning over a bit to just hover near his neck, breathing him in. He even smells delicious.]

[enigmaster]

[Edward shifts slightly again, still sleeping, still breathing evenly. It also has the effect of unintentionally exposing his neck more. How about that.]

[fancy that indeed. It's a lovely neck. It would be so easy to bite him here, to take what he wants while Edward slumbers. But also...this is far too out int he open. So instead he'll just...briefly press his lips there. Before he straightens]

[The clock is ticking on. Edward looks... honestly, exhausted, even in slumber. As Oswald presses his lips to Edward's neck, he makes a slight sound, though, in his sleep.] Mm...

[Oswald can't help but chuckle at that. He reaches out to card his fingers through Edward's hair, gently.]

[He moves a little, as that happens. Not moving away, though. Actually, it seems he's finding the sensation very enjoyable, judging from the way he shifts closer.]

[cute :> he's going to gently scratch his nails against his skull, petting]

Hmmm... [Still sleeping, but... yeah, Edward definitely likes this. He's smiling a little.]

[oh, well, in that case, he'll keep doing it, running his fingers through Edward's hair, dragging his nails against his scalp, just...gently petting]

[At this point he's shifted over enough that he's pretty much lying against you, Oswald. So that warmth is just, there, now.]

[alsdkhfs it's like your pet doing something cute. At least that's what he tells himself is fueling the slight curl of warmth in his chest as his fingers gently trace Edward's ear before threading back into his hair]

[You're probably at it for a little while, Oswald, by the time that Edward's breathing changes a little. Just a subtle shift and...] ...Mhm...? [Edward's raising his head ever so slightly. Tiredly.]

[Awww :> Oswald removes his hand] Good evening, sleepyhead~

[enigmaster]

...What? [Give him a sec.]

[agoodname]

[he chuckles a bit at that, running his fingers through Edward's hair again] I said, good evening.

[He takes a minute, trying to process everything. He feels drowsy, his eyes are unfocused, there's someone talking, fingers running through his hair-- ...wait]

[enigmaster]

[He raises his head more again, looking up, blinking and adjusting his glasses. Finally noticing Oswald.] Wh-- I... uh. [HELP] ...W-Was I asleep?

[agoodname]

[lasdhflsdh that's adorable] You certainly were. I assume it's been a rough week?

[enigmaster]

Um... yes. [Sitting up straight, now, looking over at Oswald.] Yes, I suppose so. Rather embarrassing to fall asleep at work like that, though... [He didn't think he was quite so tired, but...]

I don't think anyone saw but me. And I'm not the type to report a librarian sleeping on the job~

[enigmaster]

Thank goodness I fell asleep here, I suppose, and not at my other job. [He chuckles a little. Thanks, Oswald, he appreciates that. He's just... gonna remove his glasses a moment and rub at his eyes. Failing to stifle a yawn.] Ugh... [He kind of wishes he'd slept even more.]

Will you have time to sleep tonight at least? [he's brushing a couple of curls bangs away from his face, gently]
