"Small mercies." [Butch wrinkles his nose] "If I were an old lady, where would I keep my will...."

[Edward's just going to start digging through everything. Shelves, cupboards, underneath cushions, but... a whole lot of nothing.] Nowhere sensible, seems like...

"Great. That's helpful." [he rolls his eyes.] "You think maybe it's in the floorboards somewhere?" [he starts testing the give of the boards a bit, bouncing on them a little]

Huh... maybe. [He's gonna take a look around. And he does find one that's a little loose.] Oh, maybe over here...

"Yeah? You find something? " [Butch is coming a bit closer, then, curious]

[enigmaster]

Looks like it's something, maybe... [He crouches down to the floor, moving the floorboard out of the way. As he does, however, there's a strong chill that flows out. Not natural. Butch will be able to feel it, too.]

[....HMMMM DISLIKE] "...did you feel that? Because I felt that."

[enigmaster]

Mm. That's... different. [He... sets the floorboard down on the ground, taking out his phone to shine a light down there.] It... looks empty, though...

[Butch tries to peer in a bit] "I take it you haven't encountered anything like that before."

[enigmaster]

No. This is new. [He frowns, squinting down. His other hand holding his necklace, trying to just... ground himself.] It feels like there is something, but... I can't see it...

[agoodname]

"I know you're the ghost-seein' guy, but do you want me to take a look?"

[enigmaster]

Mm, sure... okay. It's... weird that I can't see anything. [He'll stand up and take a step back. Weird. All this is weird. There's something... off... about all this.]

"I'll take a look...who knows. Maybe I'll get lucky." [he pulls out a high-powered keychain flashlight and moves to get on his hands and knees so he can take a look under the floorboard]

[enigmaster]

[And there's... nothing. A lot of darkness. But there's a strange... indentation, in the ground there. Like there was something, but it's been taken away.]

"Huh." [he frowns, moving to shift back onto his haunches] "Looks like whatever was there isn't anymore."

[That was sudden. Butch's head turns at that, frowning, looking back at him] "You?" [at his expression, though, that frown deepens, and Butch is starting to push to his feet] "Eddie? You okay?"

[Butch will see Edward stumbling back, clutching his head. A trickle of blood coming from his nose. No response to his question. Enough of an answer on its own.]

"Eddie!" [yeah nope that's not great! That's!! Not Great!!! Butch doesn't really know what to do with the supernatural, other than to, well...remove Edward from the situation. He's not a ghost hunter or whatever, the best he can do is try and help Edward. So he's moving forward, putting hands on his shoulders] "Eddie, I'm gettin' you outta here, okay?" [and then he's going to try and scoop Edward up however he has to and head for the door]

[Edward's not responding. The most he manages is a whimper, just trying to block everything out before it all goes dark ...he goes limp in Butch's arms. breathing but out. not good.]

[whoo yeah boy really *not good*. Butch is going to get them outside before cupping a hand around Edward's neck, feeling for a pulse. He's not really sure what to do with this--should he get him to the hospital??? That's probably his best option. He's going to start doing that]
