[Edward sits up, a little. And... far from how nervous physical contact usually makes him, he actually reaches out. Holding onto Oswald's sleeve, as if that'll... ground him, maybe. It... helps.] I just, um... Just a nightmare of when I was... [He trails off...]

[Edward's hand closes on his sleeve and Oswald...is a bit surprised. But he'll scoot a little closer, so they're almost touching, but not quite.] When you were.....?

[Edward's... quiet again. He's not looking at Oswald, his eyes turned downwards, at the floor.] ...There was this time when I, um... I kind of got stuck somewhere and... Sometimes I still dream about it, I guess...

That's why the cell felt claustrophobic? [he shifts just a little more so their knees are very gently touching]

[enigmaster]

...Mhm. Yeah. I was kind of stuck for... for a while. And ever since I can't be in small, dark spaces anymore...

[Well, Edward seems alright with that, so he'll scoot a little closer, so their knees are pressed together a little harder. Just...kind of hoping to be grounding.] That sounds awful. How long were you stuck?

[enigmaster]

...About a day. Some... twenty hours, I think...

[......what. A whole day? 24-hours? That's....madness. That's crazy. And Oswald goes a bit tense and he's quiet for a moment as he fights down the urge to immediately storm out, find out who would dare do this to Edward, and hunt them down. With a baseball bat. Make sure they felt every swing.]

[--but he can't do that right now. Edward's pretty freaked out, still, and Oswald swallows hard, sucking in a breath through his nose] ...that's a very long time.

[And Edward... moves a little. Now holding onto Oswald's arm instead of just his sleeve. He's trembling a little.] ...Yeah. It wasn't, um... great.

[yep yep yep boy does he want to murder someone right about now, specifically whomever did this to Edward. And he swallows shifting closer, resting his hand on Edward's knee. He doesn't want to move his arm just yet, as much as he'd like to put his arm around his shoulders, but Edward's holding on, so he doesn't want to remove that anchor yet.] I cant imagine. [he squeezes his knee a little, very gently] That's sounds horrible. [he presses his lips together] I'm sorry, Edward.

...It's okay. [It isn't. Nothing about it is okay.] It was a few years ago now and... [...] It just gets a little worse, this time of year.

[Oswald leans in a bit more, pressing their shoulders together.] It's why you don't like Halloween. [really, the pieces aren't that hard to put together.]

[enigmaster]

...Mhm. [Edward looks up.] ...I'm... not sure I can sleep again right now. [The panic woke him up too much and he's still... rattled. He'd rather not try again right now.] Maybe we can, um... sit inside for a bit?

Of course.

Do you want to watch a movie? I think I have some microwave popcorn in the kitchen.

[enigmaster]

...That'd be nice.

[agoodname]

[and Oswald is just going to reach over and grab the remote for the bedroom TV and pass it to Edward] Do you want to pick the movie and I'll make the popcorn?

[enigmaster]

Mhm... Sure. [Edward's just going to pick something light, animated, nothing that'll trigger anything right now. An excuse to turn his brain off for a bit. Calm himself down.]

[That's fine by Oswald; he'll return in about five minutes with fresh popcorn, climbing up onto the bed with Edward, settling up against the headboard to see what he picked]

[Edward didn't think about his selection too much, he just went for the first light thing he could see. Ratatouille is what he ended up with, because he knows that won't trigger anything. He can... manage that one. And... once Oswald settles next to him, Edward actually scoots a little closer. Not just barely not touching. Straight up leaning against him. On purpose, this time. Boy, he really isn't doing good, huh?]]

[Oswald blinks at that--before he shifts, wiggling out his arm from against his side and instead curling it around Edward's shoulders gently, tucking him against his side. And offers him the popcorn]

[Yeah, he'll take some popcorn, thanks. Time to just... mindlessly watch a movie for a bit. It's... nice. For a bit.]

[it is pretty nice. Oswald is going to murder whomever decided to lock Edward in that small space for 24 hours. Even as he watches the movie, he's already planning this. The only trouble is the fact that Edward can talk to ghosts. And someone murdered will probably have a ghost. So it will take some careful planning to pull this off in a way that will keep his name from both the physical world and the spiritual one. You know. Normal Ratatouillie watching thoughts.]

[And Edward relaxes more and more, as the movie goes on. No longer trembling. He's just... watching. Eventually he ends up resting his head against Oswald's shoulder a bit. It's about two thirds of the way through the movie that Edward's breathing slows. If Oswald looks over, he'll notice his eyes are closed. He just... fell asleep against you again, Oswald.]

[#blessed Oswald's features soften when he notices. He swallows a bit, tightening his arm around him a little, turning his head to gently press a soft kiss to the top of his head before just...breathing in. Yep. He has to find out who did this. And make them pay.]
