[well, not quite yet. Instead, a couple days later, he'll get Cat, who is just going to invite herself in in the middle of the day, drop a kind of heavy bag into his lap, and go plop herself down in one of the chairs, putting her feet up on the bed]

"Hey."

[Edward blinks at that sudden weight, looking up from his ECHO device to the bag, then to Cat.] Ah... Hey? [cat cat what] ...What's this?

"Special delivery." [she pulls out an ECHO pad herself, starting to thumb through it] "Penguin couldn't come and neither could Ivy, so they sent me. Also Bridgit says you can go fuck yourself."

[enigmaster]

Oh. ...Tell her I said hi. [yeah about what he should've expected sorry bridgit just gonna... reach for that bag then? what's this]

[turns out it's....books. And a small potted plant with some blue flowers on it. Cat types something into her ECHO pad and waits....and then a moment later--]

"Bridgit says that you should know exactly where you can shove it."

[enigmaster]

Tell her I didn't break anything and it went fine. [GOSH. ...he'll take out the books. Taking a look at them. The potted plant he'll set down in a safe spot.]

[Cat rolls her eyes at that, but starts to relay the message. The books are actually full on paper books, so that's kinda neat. There's one about coding, another about engineering, and another about famous well known, never solved puzzles and riddles throughout history.]

[enigmaster]

[...Oh.

Oh, well, he's... definitely going to take his time with these, yes.]

...You said Oswald couldn't come, right? I mean-- are they busy or...

"Yeah. Jack's pulling some shit again with the Citadel--nothing too drastic but definitely trying to keep them in line or whatever. So they're dealing with that."

[a pause]

"Bridget says not the point, asshat. All caps and a period after each one."

[enigmaster]

Oh.

[Cool, that's a concern. But... they're handling it. Right?

...I really don't know what the point is now.

[Cat huffs at that, rolling her eyes again]

"Why don't you ask her? You've got an ECHO pad."

...I guess. [He'd rather not get yelled at directly, though.] ... [Just... glances at his device, though. ...maybe just. messages Oswald, first, because-- he doesn't know why.] thanks for the books

[yeah, bet he doesn't. Anyway, Oswald will get back to him after a couple minutes]

It could be worse. It's being dealt with, however.

"Repairs are going pretty well. Jack keeps trying to cut off our supply lines, but between Victor and Butch, they found some alternate channels."

gee i don't know maybe it's because the person I was working on an important project with went and PROCEEDED TO ATTACH THE ARM I SPENT WEEKS WORKING FULL TIME ON WITHOUT TALKING TO ME FIRST
