Ah... you think so? [He goes a bit red. Just... staring into the fire, still.] It was, um... my first summoning, so... I'm just glad it went okay.

I certainly thought it went quite well. Rather surprising for me personally, but impressive all the same.

Um... So, ah... Can I ask... [he looks back over at Oswald, very carefully.] Why were you there? In the temple...?

Oh, that? Well, Butch was getting all concerned, so I came to see what the fuss was about. I figured if you'd been there for over a day, you also needed a clean change of clothes and a meal, so I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

[enigmaster]

[He tilts his head, frowning.] That's all...?

What other reason would there be?

[enigmaster]

I don't know. People don't usually break tradition and go further into the temple just... for that. [...] You... washed up on shore, right? I think Butch mentioned something like that...

Yes. But I must admit that I also know nothing of those traditions, so it wasn't much of a jump for me to dismiss them.

You don't? I thought everyone knew about the taboos. Are you from somewhere very remote...?

No, the boat I was on was attacked by Sin. Apparently that's why I don't remember anything about Spira.

[He frowns, at that, but looks at Oswald properly now.]

Not much of anything. Or, well...[he trails off a bit, glancing at him sidelong, conspiratorially] ...except for what I'm apparently not supposed to talk about.

Huh? [He blinks, leaning in closer immediately. Secrets???] What's that?

Apparently I'm not supposed to tell anyone that I'm from Zanarkand.

But... I thought no one lived there. I mean, it's just... all ruins.

Yes, apparently it became ruins about a thousand years ago, which was news to me.

I... don't understand. So it's not in ruins...?

Butch says it is. But I don't remember it being that way. I remember it being a city that I grew up in.
