[Elijah just....waves as Oswald opens the door and steps out, before turning to lock it behind them. From there, it doesn't take too long to to get them both into a taxi and over to a coat store. A...really nice coat store. Because as if Oswald would make sure Edward got anything less.]

Don't worry about that. You need a coat that will last you a long time--that's more important.

I'm absolutely positive. [YOU CAN TELL BECAUSE HE'S STRIDING RIGHT IN] Now...I don't think a long coat would be suitable. You need something more versatile, I think. [and yep he's just going to...stride over to one of the racks and start looking through]

Um... Okay. [Edward's trailing behind Oswald, looking around the store a little with the obvious look of someone who's never been in a store with clothes this expensive before. More the... just wearing whatever is available type.]

[MMMMMM YEAH BOY IS THAT GONNA CHANGE starting with this coat--and he's pulling a couple off the rack] Here--these should be in your size, if my eye is correct.

[Edward blinks a little as he takes the coats. Hm???] Oh, ah... Alright. ...I mean, the sweater fit fine, so probably.

We'll need to get you a couple more of those. It did fit you very well. A couple more colors wouldn't be amiss.

[not mentioning that the sweater is probably so soft because it's cashmere shhhhh

Ah... [More? Just how many clothes is Oswald planning on buying for him, good lord, okay. He kind of. Wants to say something about it, but Oswald doesn't seem like he'll be persuaded to stop buying him things so he'll just. Let it go for now. Still following him...]

[he is completely correct in that assumption. It would be very difficult to dissuade Oswald from buying Edward more clothing. Better to just go along with it~ He'll pick out a solid six or seven more coats before herding Edward towards the dressing room to try them all on :>] Just hang them all up and then you can use the three-way mirror here so you can see them from all angles once you put it on.

[This is a lot of coats... But Edward just quietly nods. Hanging up the coat he borrowed initially and just... yeah, okay. Trying some of these on...]

[....Oswald wasn't lying about his eye. They all fit pretty much perfectly. However...] Oh, no. [he wrinkles his nose at the first one] Nice on the hanger, not so nice actually worn. Too boxy.

[Edward tilts his head a little as he glances at the mirror. He doesn't really see it, but then, he's kind of used to just not thinking about what he wears beyond "does it fit enough to actually wear". Looking good hasn't been much of an issue.]

[Yep, he'll just change to the next.]

[at the next one, he frowns] ...the fit is a bit better but...it's a bit long. It looks like whomever made it wasn't sure what kind of coat they wanted to make.

[Edward blinks a bit, but shrugs and... switches again. Next one. He's going to trust Oswald's judgement on this.]

No. It's atrocious. I have no idea why I even grabbed it.

....probably for the color but I like it significantly less now.

[this one he'll actually be quiet on for a moment, contemplative] Hm. I like the cut of it, and that color is rather nice....What do you think?

...It's nice. I think. [It is. It feels comfortable, too. He likes it.]

[Oswald looks rather pleased at that] Good! We'll put it in the retry pile, then--here, hand it to me with the hanger, I'll hold onto it.

Mm, alright.

[He hands it over and... keeps going.]

[he dismisses the next to, but the one after....he considers] That's...nicer than I thought. [he sounds surprised] I wasn't sure about the lining, but on you it works rather well.

[he tilts his head] Thoughts?

[enigmaster]

[Huh.] I think it works... [He likes this one, also. It's warm...]

Then it'll go in the retry pile also. [he holds out his hand for it and the hanger. Same procedure. Fortunately there's only a couple left after this.]
