Naturally. [he sounds amused--but distracting from that, fortunately the sandwich is already cut in half, so it's not difficult to split it and hand Enygma half of it.] Here. Now, you just...take a bite. [and he shifts his half into his hands, and takes a solid bite out of it, making a pleased noise as he sits back and starts to chew.]

[He takes half of the sandwich, eyeing it almost with suspicions, as if this is a trap somehow. He just doesn't really understand what this is about... The smell is odd and heavy and salty and he isn't entirely sure what to make of it. Besides, he doesn't need to eat, so it probably won't be even close to the same for him. For some reason, he's just indulging this mortal. He just, brings the sandwich closer to his mouth, and takes a bite--]

[what is this weird sensation happening in his mouth and why is it so pleasant?]

[he looks so suspicious--until he doesn't. And the corner of Oswald's eyes crinkle as he chews, watching his face] Good, right? [it's a bit muffled as he puts a hand in front of his mouth to talk]

Mm-- [He starts talking, but, well. Mouth full. And he's working on... chewing. But he definitely looks like he's enjoying it.]

[he nearly laughs at that reaction--but barely keeps himself from doing so because he sure doesn't want to choke but it's...cute.

It's very cute.

At least he seems to be enjoying it.

Osvaldus swallows, watching him] We can try the hummus next.

[enigmaster]

[He figures out chewing after a moment. And swallowing. And he looks over, head tilting like a bird.] ...What is "hummus"?

Well, what you've got in your lap, actually. Here, just hold steady--[and he's picking up the small (smaller than his palm) pitcher of oil, and leaning forward so he can tip a bit of it on top of the hummus sitting in Enygma's lap--before sitting up to tear off a piece of the bread, scoop up a dollop of the hummus, and hold it out] Here--open your mouth.

[enigmaster]

[...Okay but he likes the sandwich, does he need to try more foods?] ...Alright. [He'll comply, out of curiosity more than anything. Bracing himself for whatever this is. It's... hard to figure out what this is.]

Good. [He'll pop that bread in his mouth, then, careful not to smear anything] There--try that.

[enigmaster]

[Enygma blinks as he chews on that bread. Tilting his head curiously. The texture is very different from the last bite, as is the taste, and for a moment it's just... confusing. But after a moment, his eyes light up a bit, as he swallows the bread.] That's... I don't even know how to describe that... ...Mortals eat this every day?

Not every day. [he pauses to consider] ....well, some people do. But most people like some variety.

[enigmaster]

[He just looks incredulous at that, as if Osvaldus is playing a joke on him.] How much more variety could there be?

[agoodname]

[Osvaldus smirks at that] Oh, quite a lot, actually. This barely even scratches the surface. [and he takes a piece of bread and hummus and oil for himself, popping it in his mouth]

[enigmaster]

...Aren't you doing this wrong? [He reaches over for that oil, holding up the pitcher and squinting at it.] This is a liquid, right? Aren't those for drinking?

[agoodname]

[alsdkhfs he can't help the chuckle at that]

Not that liquid. Wine and beer, yes, but that's olive oil. It would taste awful to just eat without other things--some vinegar and herbs at the very least.

[enigmaster]

...I have no idea what any of those things are.

[. . . . . . for a moment, Osvaldus just...stares]

Well...aside from wine, which I gave you a sip of last time, I suppose I'll just have to introduce you to the rest.

I don't know if I liked the wine. It was sweet, but also... not? And it felt odd. ...But I like this. [as he goes to take another bite out of his sandwich]

There are several kinds of wine, so maybe we'll find one you like. Or we can try beer. Or some juice.

But I can introduce you to other foods, but a lot of them I'd have to cook for you.

...Is that not far too much trouble to go through?

Ah, well, that.... [hnnngh don't call him out like this] ...I don't mind. Maybe the next time you're in my area...
