[still a bit pissy as he climbs into the taxi] Does this happen often?

...Pretty often. Yes. ...Sorry. I should've told you.

It's fine, I was just--[he blows out a breath, glancing out the window, then, quieter:]

...I was just worried.

[enigmaster]

Oh. [Edward looks over at Oswald, frowning. That's. New.] Sorry. I, um... Usually when I've done this, people don't really notice or care that I went off, you know?

[agoodname]

[Oswald just...rubs the head of his cane with his thumb] .....right. [he swallows a bit] Apologies.

[enigmaster]

You don't have to-- I'll just... keep that in mind. Didn't mean to make you worry... [Edward trails off at the end, there. He might be zoning out a little.]

[agoodname]

It's alright. [he glances over at him, frowning--yes, he definitely needs to get to bed]

We'll be home soon.

[enigmaster]

Mhm... [And. Yeah. Edward's very much starting to drift off again, oops. He's just. He's very tired.]

[fortunately it doesn't take too long to get back to the apartment due to the taxi--and he's practically herding Edward out of the taxi and into the building and to the elevator, until they're finally back to the front door, and Oswald's pulling out his key to unlock it]

[enigmaster]

[And for Edward it all just kind of... happens in a blur. It feels like one moment they're in the taxi and the next they're by the door. He blinks a little. Oh.

...Okay, maybe he is kind of tired.]

[oswald is just going to--herd him towards the bedroom, reminding him to toe his shoes off and pulling back the comforter on the bed and just --yes okay he's running late for work but he'll get there Edward is more important]

[enigmaster]

[Edward's... a little on autopilot right now, so he just kind of does everything Oswald guides him to. And suddenly he's. In the bedroom. Okay. And... Wait, actually, yeah--] ...Aren't you supposed to be at work now...?

[agoodname]

I'll worry about that. You sleep. [YEP THAT TONE IS BROKING NO ARGUMENT--definitely similar to his mother's]

[enigmaster]

Oh... Alright. Sure... [And he kind of just... collapses on the bed a little. He's... too tired to argue the point right now. Getting no damn sleep all night and running all over the city will do that.]

[yep just gonna tuck him in--before grabbing one of his suits because he super isn't dressed for work and is going to go throw that on in the bathroom and quickly make himself presentable, before rushing off to work]

[enigmaster]

[And Edward is just. Out. He's... gonna sleep for a long ass time. Honestly he might even be asleep by the time Oswald gets back...]

[that's...understandable. He'll be back later in the evening, just around dinner time, as he stayed a bit later to make up for being late that morning]

[enigmaster]

[And... yep, Edward's. Still out, oops. Might just want to go about your business, Oswald, the boy's very much asleep, if you're checking on him.]

[he does peek in to take a look at him and make sure he's alright, letting out a sigh of relief as he does so. He's still there. He can't help but smile a little because, well...he looks very cute. And he'll quietly close the door and go to make some dinner]

[enigmaster]

[It's a little later, still, before Edward finally starts waking up. He frowns a little, as he checks the time. .......Ah. That's. Well. Kind of slept the day away, there. A few minutes after he finally wakes up, he exits the bedroom. Still... looking kind of tired, honestly, but less like he's about to fall over from exhaustion. What're you doing, Oswald?]

[he's in the kitchen, now dressed down to his pants and button-up, which he's undone the cuffs and rolled up to his elbows in a bid to keep it more clean. He's in socked feet and an apron with lillies stitched into the pocket, and is...stir-frying something???]

[enigmaster]

[Edward makes his way over there. Huh...] Uh, hey. Good... [He blinks.] ...evening, I guess? [welp]

[Oswald turns a bit at that, glancing over--and there's a curl of a smile at the corner of his mouth] Good evening. Did you sleep well?

[enigmaster]

I... guess so. [Mostly he just slept forever and he still feels very tired. Looks it, too... He's not sure if that's because of the quality of sleep or just his general exhaustion catching up with him. Probably the latter, honestly.] ...What're you making?

[agoodname]

Lecsó. [with a closer look, it's actually some kind of vegetable stew, maybe??? There's a lot of veggies and some soup broth]

I figured it'd be fairly hearty, since you've been traipsing all over Gotham last night.
