I guess, yeah.

At least he doesn't seem to trust my judgement on it, so.

Yeah. It is. [It's infuriating!] Which would be one thing, but then he also told you about the whole... ghost thing.

"Ah. That." [Butch considers that as he takes his turn] "I can see why that would be something you don't want spread around."

[enigmaster]

I tend to keep it to myself. Yes. [He tells people when they ask him directly, but that's another thing.] He doesn't have any right to tell people about it.

"It's your thing to tell. So him telling me was a breach of trust kinda thing, right?"

[enigmaster]

Yeah. [Edward crosses his arms.] My fault for expecting him to be different than everyone else, I guess.

[agoodname]

"How'd you mean?"

[enigmaster]

Because every time I've told someone, they end up telling other people. Every time.

[agoodname]

"That sounds pretty bad. How many times have you told someone?"

[enigmaster]

[Unintentionally, before he knew better? Countless times. Intentionally?] Six times.

[agoodname]

"Every time, huh?" [Butch's mouth twists a little bit] "That sucks."

[enigmaster]

Yeah. Every time. [The times when it was unintentional or just people guessing were... still awful, but at least that was still different. Those weren't people he thought he could trust with something that personal.] ...I just thought Oswald wouldn't do that. [But then, he thought that every time, didn't he?]

[Butch considers this for a moment, and hums a bit]

"...I guess then you maybe gotta ask yourself why."

[enigmaster]

What? Why I expected differently?

[agoodname]

"Yeah. What about him made you expect differently?"

[enigmaster]

I don't know. Because he's the first person who actually believes me about it, I guess? No one did that before, so. I thought he was different. [Maybe he set the bar too low.]

[agoodname]

"Alright. So that makes sense. Logical conclusion to make." [he pauses] "What about his why?"

[enigmaster]

His? [uuuugh noooo he doesn't want to think about that]

[agoodname]

"Yeah. Now, I'm not sayin' it should clear his name or anything. He still made you feel like crap and told your secret to someone else. But everybody does something for a reason. And sometimes, when they're trying to do something for a good reason, people mess up. So the why can be important."

[enigmaster]

Sure, okay. He was trying to help, because he decided on his own that my judgement didn't matter and clearly he knew better than me. That definitely helps his case so much. [.......he might be incredibly bitter right now]

"Is that what he said?"

[enigmaster]

...No. [don't you logic at him HE WANTS TO BE MAD FOREVER.....]

"I'm not saying that it isn't what he thought. I don't know." [he shrugs] "Maybe it was. Fact 'a the matter is, we don't know why he did what he did. We do know that it hurt you, though, so you're mad about that. Which makes sense. I'd be mad, too."
