We weren't swamped, so there's that. But it was still rather busy. We got in four new cases, so all of them needed dealing with. A couple were fairly straightforward and all the evidence seemed pretty obvious. However the other two are a little trickier. [he'll move to sit down across from him, then.]

[Edward is kind of glad for the subject change, just holding onto that. Yep, yep, just not gonna talk about the candle more!] It sounds like a lot, still... [JUST GONNA! TALK ABOUT THIS NOW! Just the regular catching up after Oswald's work, yep.]

No. Probably because a couple of his cases have started going to me. Because I actually get them solved with logical arguments. [Oswald smirks darkly at that]

Imagine that. Being good at the job actually helps. Maybe someone should tell him.

You could record something. Just take that out every time he says something stupid.

[Oswald perks a bit at that] Now that's an idea. Just as, if not more, effective with a fraction of the effort.

Just play it every time he opens his mouth. More efficient that way. [Whatever comes out is probably going to be stupid, after all.]
