...okay. [he swallows a bit, before nodding] Good. It's Saturday afternoon, so we'll head over after breakfast?

Mhm. Sure. That sounds... good. [okay yes it's just friends hanging out you've done that before, edward ...some time ago but it has! happened! just don't think about how that ended. this is... different. ...please let it be different]

Good. I'm--I thought so, too. Think so. [aaaaaaAHHHHHHH HELP oh thank god they're pulling up to the apartment--and he's going to climb out of the taxi, moving to pay the driver so they can head back upstairs]

[And Edward trailing behind Oswald, of course, carrying the box into Oswald's place. ...It's not that hard, considering there's hardly anything in it, so that's a plus.]

[and Elijah will be in the elevator when they enter it, smiling a bit at the two of them]

[And... a little abruptly - from Oswald's perspective, at least - Edward hides his face behind the box a little. Goddammit. Every time.]

[Oswald just....blinks and kind of stares as he does]

"I didn't know you liked jazz. I'm rather a fan of it myself."

[his voice is gentle, without a hint of mocking :>]

[Elijah blinks at Edward's reticence, before glancing at his son]

[He shakes his head, quickly, quietly. It's! Really not! And he's... kind of embarrassed.]

"Later, then."

[he does pause for a moment, however, glancing over at Oswald, just as the elevator dings for their floor]

"....yes. Later."

[and he'll fade out lol]

[Edward raises his head again, letting out a breath. Crisis... temporarily averted, he can die later, it's fine. Time to just... get to Oswald's apartment. Yes.]

[yep, Oswald will let them back into his apartment without a second thought, closing the door behind him and hanging up his coat again] I have to do a bit of work but...would you like to watch a movie afterwards?

[The question catches him off guard as he sets the box down to take off his own coat and... ah. YES. YES? YES PLEASE--] ...Sure.

Okay. [alksdflsdhf okay great cool fine] I'll, ah...get to work, then. It shouldn't take me too long. I just have to review a couple items in the evidence. Then we can watch a movie.

Alright. Sure. I'll just... sort through this. [Gesturing vaguely at the box, as he picks it back up. Yep. Okay, he's gonna. Go do that. ...and first things first dig out his charger because his phone is super dead by now]

[COOL THEN THEY CAN JUST....work. Oswald's on his laptop on the couch, feet propped up on the coffee table, evidence folders sitting beside him that he opens up, makes notes about, and then closes and goes on to the next one.]

[And Edward is going to sort through his stuff. Clothes are all there, so those can stay in the box, that's good. There's some books that look... worn. Some of them look like puzzle books.

And... is that a set of lockpicks.]
