[The landlord looks livid, but also doesn't really wanna pick a fight, so he just grumbled and slams the door of his office behind him as the two leave. Edward feels a little numb, at first, as they walk out. Just holding the box, looking a little... surprised, maybe? He wasn't really expecting it to go like that. He's not sure what he was expecting.]

Well. Good riddance to that cretin. [he's scowling, and is going to just flag down a taxi to take them back to his apartment]

[FUCK Edward quickly glances away.] No, not at all. That was just... kind of impressive, that's all.

[Oswald blinks, once, startled---and then feels his entire face seem to heat up almost at once, even as stomach goes all funny] Ah, well, you know...when you say enough words at someone like that and talk about owing money, they usually fold fairly quickly.

Still... [LISTEN, EDWARD IS IMPRESSED... and feeling weird for some reason and he's not sure what's up with that but he kind of wants to scream internally forever maybe He swallows, instead.] Thank you for the help.

He swallows, anyway, as the taxi arrives] We couldn't just leave your stuff there, after all. [and he's reaching out to open the door to the taxi so they can both climb in.]

Good. I'm--I thought so, too. Think so. [aaaaaaAHHHHHHH HELP oh thank god they're pulling up to the apartment--and he's going to climb out of the taxi, moving to pay the driver so they can head back upstairs]

[And Edward trailing behind Oswald, of course, carrying the box into Oswald's place. ...It's not that hard, considering there's hardly anything in it, so that's a plus.]

[And... a little abruptly - from Oswald's perspective, at least - Edward hides his face behind the box a little. Goddammit. Every time.]
