[Time seems to go faster, then. It's the next day, now, and the trial is due to start soon. In the meantime, Edward is waiting outside the courtroom. On his own, Harvey isn't in sight, but his briefcase is sitting there. Looks like he was just there, must have just stepped away.

And he's also playing with a... Rubik's Cube? Kind of idly, really.]
[Oswald has his own briefcase, and pauses, briefly, as he approaches the courtroom--feeling a small frission of warmth go through him when he realizes what Edward is wearing. He comes a bit closer--best not to get too close in case someone is watching, but--]
That's--I'm glad to hear that. [oh my god why is this awkward it shouldn't be awkward but it kind fo is a little bit but that's maybe because he actually cares]
[And... that's about as far as he'll get, as Harvey's coming over, now. Trial's about to start, so people are being led in. Well. Moment of truth, huh?]
[right. Time to be the snobbish prosecutor. Which, granted, he is--so it's not too hard to fall back into that roll, with a careful twist. He pulls a bit of anger in--playing it up a little bit. Getting angry when Harvey outsmarts him. Sulking when things don't go his way. Plays the part of a spoiled young prosecutor--it's no that hard for him to do, after all.]
[Harvey, of course, has no trouble being the dashing attorney he is. This is what he's good at. And things go... exactly as they planned. Finally.
It doesn't take long, now. The case is already dragging, so it's no surprise the judge is eager to et the whole thing over with. And with Harvey's performance and Oswald playing his part so well... it's no surprise, really, when the verdict is announced.
Edward Nygma is found not guilty. Cleared of all charges.
[it's really not much for him to scowl, sweeping up all his papers in one go, before turning and storming out of the courtroom, like it's some great insult that he's lost.

[And things proceed from there. After Edward's been proven innocent there are, of course, some things to sort out. Mostly on Harvey's end of things. But he does, of course, have to pick up his possessions from the detention center.
Not that he had an awful lot on him, but just the basics. Like his phone and keys. He kind of needs those. And then, off to his apartment. It seems simple enough. Until he gets there, goes to open his door... and realizes his key doesn't work.

[It honestly wasn't too difficult to get Edward's address. After their...conversation at the detention center he just...he wants to check on Edward. It's early evening when he swings by, expecting to have to figure out which apartment is Edward's--only to find him sitting on a bench outside. Oswald blinks as he steps out of the taxi, leaning on his cane a bit as he comes closer]
